A 'yes' vote in the AV referendum on May 5th would be a disaster for our democratic system.

It would mean candidates who finish third winning elections, and an end to the principle of One Person, One Vote - because under AV, supporters of extreme parties would get their vote counted more times than supporters of mainstream parties.

So we need to do all we can to ensure a 'No' vote on May 5th - which is why I'm asking you to please join The No to AV Group today.

The Conservative Party will be putting its full weight behind the referendum campaign - and we need your support.

The Conservative Party are campaigning for a 'No' vote in the referendum on replacing the system of First Past the Post with the 'Alternative Vote' (or AV).

Changing our voting system to AV won't fix our broken politics. It won't get rid of safe seats or negative campaigning, and it won't make MPs more accountable. And, even worse, AV is an unfair, discredited and expensive system, that allows candidates that finish third to win elections.
